Heating apparatus adapted for the heat treatment of turbine blades comprising a support member formed with a plurality of slots. Heating elements in the form of electrically conductive wires surrounded by ceramic insulators are attached to the support member by a pin passing through the ceramic insulator through the support member, so that the heating elments are connected to the support member but are capable of movement relative thereto along the line of the slot. In use of the apparatus, the heating apparatus can be secured to a blade to be heat treated and while in secured position, the heating elements may still be moved to access a work area or to enable the re-distribution of heat to ensure that particular areas of the blade are heated to the required temperature.
Un appareil de chauffage, adapté au traitement thermique d'aubes de turbines, comprend un support doté de plusieurs fentes. Des éléments chauffants, se présentant sous la forme de fils conducteurs d'électricité entourés d'isolateurs en céramique, sont fixés à ce support par une broche traversant l'isolateur et le support de sorte que lesdits éléments chauffants sont connectés audit élément de support mais sont capables de se déplacer par rapport audit support le long de la ligne de la fente. Lors de l'utilisation, cet appareil de chauffage peut être assujetti à une aube à traiter thermiquement, les éléments chauffants pouvant alors encore être déplacés pour accéder à une zone de travail ou pour permettre une autre répartition thermique, ce qui permet d'assurer que des zones déterminées de l'aube sont chauffées à la température requise.
