The invention relates to a method for heat-treating metal work pieces, whereby a cooling gas flow is produced in a vacuum furnace by means of a fan, driven by a three-phase AC motor, in order to quench the work pieces. The aim of the invention is to improve the heat treatment of metal work pieces in such a manner as to improve the quenching in a simple and inexpensive manner. For this purpose, the three-phase AC motor comprises first three-phase windings designed for a lower supply voltage and second three-phase windings designed for a higher supply voltage. The three-phase AC motor is operated with the first three-phase windings until a minimum pressure defined in terms of the motor output is reached in the vacuum furnace and with the second three-phase windings until a minimum pressure defined in terms of the motor output is reached or exceeded in the vacuum furnace.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement thermique de pièces métalliques selon lequel un ventilateur entraîné par un moteur à courant triphasé produit un flux de gaz de refroidissement dans un four à vide pour le refroidissement des pièces. L'invention vise à améliorer le traitement thermique des pièces métalliques de manière à optimiser le refroidissement de façon simple et économique. A cet effet, le moteur à courant triphasé présente de premiers enroulements à courant triphasé conçus pour une tension d'alimentation faible, et de deuxièmes enroulements à courant triphasé conçus pour une tension d'alimentation supérieure. Jusqu'à atteinte d'une pression minimale déterminée par rapport à sa puissance dans le four à vide, le moteur à courant triphasé fonctionne au moyen des premiers enroulements à courant triphasé, et en cas d'atteinte ou de dépassement de la pression minimale déterminée par rapport à sa puissance dans le four à vide, le moteur fonctionne avec les deuxièmes enroulements à courant triphasé.
