ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a heatable accessory for power cables, in particular a junction for electric leads including a rigid support (5) designed to fit over the leads (2), as well as a sheath of EPR based elastomer material, expanded around the support (5) and constituted by an intercalary three-layer body (7) and an outer envelope (8), a mattress containing a substance liable to undergo an exothermal reaction being disposed around at least one portion of the sheath. This accessory is characterized in that there is disposed on the outer face of the mattress (14) a rigid shell (19) for heat insulation and mechanical protection, which covers the ends of the rigid inner support (5), the mattress (14) being interposed between the sheath and the shell (19).
