HEATABLE APPLIANCE CONTAINING A TEMPERATURE INDICATOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A laminate is formed of an upper layer of temperature sensitive paint applied directly to a second layer of a heat conductive foil to which is applied a third layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive. In a preferred embodiment, the laminate comprises an upper layer of a transparent carrier, a second layer of temperature sensitive paint, a third layer of transparent carrier, a fourth layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive, a fifth layer of aluminum foil, and a sixth layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive. The laminate will provide for uniform changing of the temperature sensitive paint when the laminate is positioned adjacent a heat source such as the electrically heatable rod portion of a curling iron.
