A heated bridge deck (20) uses electrodes (24, 26) embedded within conductive concrete and connected to a power source to remove snow and ice accumulation. A cement-based mixture containing optimal amounts of conductive materials is molded into pre-formed slabs (22) placed atop the paved surface of a bridge deck. Alternatively, the conductive concrete may be cast in place on top of an existing bridge deck. A control unit with temperature and moisture sensors may be coupled to the heated bridge deck.

L'invention concerne un chauffage de chaussée (20) de pont utilisant des électrodes (24, 26) intégrées dans du béton conducteur et connectées à une source d'alimentation afin d'éliminer la glace et la neige de la chaussée. Un mélange à base de ciment contenant des quantités optimales de matériaux conducteurs est moulée dans des dalles (22) de béton placées sur la surface revêtue de la chaussée d'un pont. Dans une variante, des électrodes sont intégrées dans le béton conducteur. L'unité de contrôle pourvue de capteurs de température et d'humidité peut être couplée au chauffage de chaussée de pont.
