A simple to construct heated floor slab is described. This construction comprises an undulated or ribbed sheet of expanded, rigid foam insulation, a sheet of expanded metal lath placed on top of the rigid insulation and a concrete slab formed on top of the expanded metal lath. This provides a floor construction having a plurality of air passages formed between low regions of the rigid insulation and the concrete slab. Heated air can then be passed through these air passages to efficiently heat the concrete slab.
