A heated wiper mechanism, arranged to prevent ice from building up on the articulated wiper arm structure of a vehicle windshield wiper carrying a flexible strip (1), the heater mechanism comprising an electrically supplied, heat radiating wire (9) supported on said windshield wiper, said heat radiating wire (9) being an integral, closed loop electrical resistance wire enclosed by a flexible tubing and being supported at a level near an upper, backside portion of the strip (1) for radiating heat to the articulated wiper arm structure. The wire (9) is supported by saddle-shaped clips (13) engaging the sectional profile of the backside portion of the strip (1) and reaching, with opposing free ends of the clip, on both longitudinal sides of the strip for holding the heated wire (9) in snap lock attachment.
L'invention concerne un mécanisme d'essuie-glace chauffant, capable de prévenir une accumulation de glace sur la structure de bras articulé d'un essuie-glace de véhicule portant une bande (1) flexible. Le mécanisme chauffant comporte un fil (9) métallique à rayonnement thermique alimenté en électricité, porté par l'essuie-glace; ce fil (9) à rayonnement thermique est un fil de résistance électrique intégré en circuit fermé, enveloppé dans un tubage flexible et maintenu à proximité d'une partie arrière supérieure de la bande (1) de manière à produire un rayonnement thermique en direction de la structure de bras articulé de l'essuie-glace. Le fil (9) est maintenu par des pinces (13) en forme de selle qui sont en contact avec le profil de coupe de la partie arrière de la bande (1) et s'étendent, grâce aux extrémités libres opposées de la pince, des deux côtés longitudinaux de la bande de manière à maintenir le fil (9) chauffant par un moyen de fixation à encliquetage.
