ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A floor heater for a railway car includes a perforated heater guard having top and bottom "V" sections extending into a heater chamber heated by a heating element connected to the inside of the heater guard. A perforated heater duct is disposed below a window in the car and is connected to the heater chamber through a passageway inside the side wall of the car.
