ABSTRACT A heater assembly for heating a surface such as the rear window of an automobile. A plurality of heater elements are adhesively secured onto the surface in generally vertically spaced horizontally extending direction. A pair of busbars are adhesively secured onto said surface in generally verti- cally extending direction overlying the heater elements adjacent the opposite ends thereof. End portions of the heater elements which extend beyond the busbars are wrapped around the busbars and firmly retained by a pair of covering members which are secured in juxtaposed relation to the busbars for providing good electrical contact between the heater elements and the busbars.
