Described is a vehicle heater with several heat-output settings. When heaters of this kind are switched from one setting to another, annoying noises are produced by the actual switching operation and by the rapid change in rpm of the combustion-air fan of the burner in the heater. In order to avoid this, the invention calls for a smooth, gradual change in fan rpm whenever the heater is switched from one output setting to another.

L'invention concerne un système de chauffage pour véhicules qui comporte plusieurs échelons de puissance de chauffage. Lors de la commutation entre les échelons de puissance de chauffage, il se produisait jusqu'à maintenant des bruits gênants dus d'une part au processus de commutation à proprement parler et d'autre part au changement rapide de la vitesse du ventilateur d'air de combustion (10) du brûleur (2) du système de chauffage. Afin d'éviter ce type de nuisances, il est prévu un changement progressif de la vitesse du ventilateur d'air de combustion à chaque passage d'un échelon de puissance de chauffage à un autre.
