A heating and heat preserving device of protein removal treatment for contact lenses is disclosed, including a thermal insulation container having a top opening for the entry of high temperature water. A thermal insulation cover is provided to close the top opening for the preservation of thermal energy of the high temperature water inside the container. A lens holder having two separate lens chambers to each receive a quantity of soft contact lens treating solution and a soft contact lens therein is disposed within the high temperature water container to have the two lens chambers soaked within the high temperature water to heat the treating solution to a reaction initiation temperature so as to start the reaction between the treating solution and contamination on the soft contact lenses. The so treated soft contact lenses can then be further cleaned by hand rubbing within conventional soft contact lens cleaning solution. The so rubbing-cleaned soft contact lenses are then dipped into conventional soaking solution to dilute the treating solution residual .
