ABSTRACT A vehicle heating system which can be connected to the battery of the vehicle through a low-power circuit when the vehicle is not being operated or a high-power circuit when the vehicle is being operated. When the vehicle is not being used, an auxiliary power circuit can provide power to the heating system from an auxiliary power source such as AC mains. When the auxiliary power circuit is in use, a relay disengages the low- power circuit which would otherwise be in use.
