The invention relates to an apparatus for heating fluid, comprising: first supply means (2) for supplying fuel; second supply means (4) for supplying oxidizing agent; burner means (5) for combusting fuel and oxidizing agents after mixing thereof; and a first heat exchanger (8) to be heated by flue gases of the burner means (5) and arranged helically round the burner means (5).
