A heating apparatus for heating operating equipment at remote sites, includes an insulated body capable of being detachably secured around a piece of operating equipment and forming an enclosure in which the piece of operating equipment is positioned. At least one fluid circuit is provided having a first portion connected to an engine coolant system and second portion positioned in the body to heat the enclosure, such that thermal energy from the engine coolant system is transferred to the enclosure of the insulated body.
