ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a steel water-heating boiler burning liquid or gaseous fuel having a water-bearing housing, between the front and rear walls of which is arranged in a liquid-tight manner a cylindrical installation unit consisting of combustion chamber and fuel-gas flues. The boiler which is intended for the operation of hot-water heating systems is distinguished by the fact that the installation unit whose com- bustion chamber and fuel-gas flues are provided with a corrosion- resistant lining has end closure members also covered by the lining. The outside diameters of the end closure members are larger than the outside diameter of the installation unit and the outer peripheral edges of the end closure members are connected to the opening edges of the front and rear walls in a liquid- tight way and at least the inside diameter of the burner-side end closure member is smaller than the inside diameter of the in- stallation unit.
