The present invention relates to a mash copper comprising a cylindrical outer cover, a copper bottom, a heating device and an agitator. To mix the mash particles thoroughly and to achieve a good heat transition, the copper bottom should be arranged according to the invention such that it is asymmetrically inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the mash copper.
