ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A high frequency heating apparatus includes a motor having first and second windings, and a damper for controlling the intake of air into a heating chamber. Nega- tive thermal expansion metal moves the damper in response to changes in the shape of the negative thermal expansion metal, which is electrically coupled to the second winding of the motor. The apparatus may include a convection heater and a microwave source.
