The heating chamber (8) is rotatable about its longitudinal axis (10) and contains a number of heating tubes (12) orientated parallel to each other. Solid material (A) which is lifted up in the rotation can detach from the heating tubes (12) and lead to damage, on impact, to heating tubes (12) situated beneath. In order to prevent this, according to the invention baffle shells (26) are provided on the heating tubes (12). These comprise a resistant material and offer protection against surface damage. The heating tubes (12) are preferably arranged in radially orientated rows (I to VIII).
L'invention concerne une chambre de chauffe (8) qui peut tourner autour de son axe longitudinal (10) et qui contient un certain nombre de tubes de chauffage (12) parallèles. Les solides (A) qui sont soulevés sous l'effet de la rotation, peuvent se détacher des tubes de chauffage (12) et risquent d'endommager des tubes de chauffage (12) situés en dessous, s'ils les heurtent. Afin de remédier à cet inconvénient, il est prévu, selon l'invention, de pourvoir les tubes de chauffage (12) de coques de rebondissement (26). Ces coques sont réalisées dans un matériau résistant et protègent des altérations de surface. Les tubes de chauffage (12) sont disposés, de préférence, en rangs orientés dans le sens radial (I à VIII).
