Abstract of the Disclosure A heating converter includes a boiler which is coupled to a con- verter core for placement in an air duct to efficiently heat the air within the duct. The core includes multiple rows of flattened tubes to provide efficient heat transfer to the air while offering minimum frictional resistance. The converter provides a particularly advantageous energy- efficient replacement for the conventional resistance heating elements of heat pumps and the like.
