The invention relates to a new heating element (8) having a low thickness and comprising at least one substrate (1) and at least one electric resistance layer (4) adhering to the substrate by means of a binder (3) obtained from a dispersion, solution or powder of at least one polymer whose melting temperature is higher than the operating temperature of the heating element and which may be deposited on the substrate as a thin layer.
