ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A heat exchange unit particularly suitable for base- board heaters comprises a tubular heat input member supported by an aligned web member. The longitudinal edges of the web member are joined to opposed side of an aligned box member; the latter is windowed to permit convecting air to circulate. A method for manufacturing the units is described wherein strip material is upset and joined by roll forming operation.
