ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The method of improving the stiffness of a polystyr- ene foam cup having a generally closed cell foam sidewall and bottom and a solid plastic film coating on at least the outer surface thereof comprising placing said cup around a heated mandrel, said mandrel having an outside diameter sufficiently less than an inside diameter of said cup to allow the cup sidewall to expand, at a temperature and for a time sufficient to expand the sidewall.
