A method and apparatus for heating specimens in wells of a metallic specimen carrier. The specimen carrier is heated by applying resistive heating directly to the carrier. An AC source and transformer may be used where the specimen carrier is in series with a single turn secondary winding of the transformer. A magnet may be placed in each well and excited by the heating current to provid a stirring effect.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif servant à chauffer des échantillons situés dans des cupules d'un support d'échantillons métallique. Le support d'échantillons est chauffé par une résistance chauffante appliquée directement sur celui-ci. Une source et un transformateur C.A. peuvent être utilisés lorsque le support d'échantillons est en série avec un enroulement secondaire à une spire du transformateur. Un aimant peut être placé dans chaque cupule et être excité par le courant de chauffe pour produire un effet d'agitation.
