C-14-54-0429 HEATSET PLIED YARNS AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME ABSTRACT A process for heatsetting plied carpet yarns is described in which a plied yarn is passed through a device wherein its fibers are entangled in a first zone and the yarn is then heatset in a second zone. The resulting heat set yarns resist untwisting and are particularly useful in providing cut pile carpets.
