A method and apparatus for playing a wagering game that combines a simplified craps betting format with a roulette feature. A playing surface is provided that utilizes many of the craps bets. In addition, one or more specialized betting areas are provided, permitting placement of bets having higher odds. A non-dice random selector, such as a ball blower or a specialized deck of playing cards, is provided. Selection is randomly made from an array of possible results that correspond both to the possible outcomes from a pair of dice as well as to the single outcomes associated with the specialized betting areas. Wagering continues between each random selection, which continue until the selection of an ending result or an ending sequence of results in accordance with the game rules.
