ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A Heaving Line Storage and Deployment Apparatus comprises a rope of sufficient strength to pull a person through water and a buoyant spool comprising a drum about which the rope is rotatably secured, one flanqe member having inner and outer faces, the inner face being attached to one end of the drum, and retaining means attached to the other end of the drum for preventing the rope from sliding off of the drum.
