A moving mechanism is provided for balanced support of a weight of a heavy structure to be moved, thereby efficiently maintaining horizontal stability of the heavy structure to be moved. The moving mechanism comprises a field of a stadium, a skirt-shaped seal member provided on a peripheral edge of a bottom face of the field, a plurality of wheel mechanisms capable of up and down movement by a hydraulic cylinder and provided in appropriate locations on the bottom face, an air compressor provided in an appropriate location on the bottom face, a differential- pressure detector for detecting oil pressure of the hydraulic cylinder, and a controller capable of controlling an amount of air fed from the air compressor on the basis of a pressure signal detected by the differential-pressure detector.
