This invention is in the field of devices used to trim and lower hedges and trees. The device consists of a guide bar with a drive means and a saw chain travelling around the circumference thereof, along with a set number of dividers extending forward from and above and below the guide bar. The design of the dividers, along with the spacing there between, allows the device to trim branches of larger diameter than analogous devices found in the prior art, and a clean level surface is left on the lowered hedge. The size of the device itself allows for the even trimming of large hedges.

L'appareil faisant l'objet de l'invention consiste en un guide-chaîne muni d'un mécanisme d'entraînement et d'une chaîne de scie se déplaçant en périphérie, ainsi qu'en un nombre déterminé de séparateurs orientés vers l'avant à partir d'au-dessus et d'en-dessous du guide-chaîne. La conception des séparateurs et l'espace prévu entre chacun permettent à l'appareil d'élaguer des branches d'un diamètre plus important que celui des branches que peuvent couper d'autres appareils semblables déjà disponibles sur le marché et de tailler uniformément le dessus d'une haie. De par sa taille même, l'appareil permet de tailler uniformément de larges haies.
