Hedge shears has a pair of hands (10R/L), a pair of blades (20R/L) and a rotatable connector (30). Each handle (10R/L) or each blade (20R/L) has a drive slot (16, 242). The rotatable connector (30) has two connecting plates (32, 36). Each connecting plate (36, 38) has an elongated hole (322, 362) defined in the connecting plate (36, 38) and has an abutting plate (34, 38) adjacent to the one of the other connecting plate (32, 36). A pivot hole (342, 382) is defined in each abutting plate (34, 38), and a shaft (42) passes through the pivot holes (342, 382). Two shaft hubs (46, 48) hold the shaft (42), and a pin (484) secured under each hub (48) passes through the drive slots (242). The blades (20R/L) are able to rotate around the shaft (42) and be operated by the handles (10R/L) by moving the shaft (42) longitudinally.
