Height Adjusting System for Motorcycle Abstract: A height adjusting system for a motorcycle body comprises front and rear telescopic suspensions connected to the axles of the two wheels and a high pressure air tank connected to the two suspensions and pressurised by an air pump driven by a motor. A movable contact, driven by the speedometer of the motorcycle, engages a fixed contact when the motorcycle is either stopped or running at a low speed and completes a circuit to leak valves to exhaust the suspensions. Electro-magnetic valves also exhaust the tank through check valves. When the motorcycle runs at a higher speed the movable contact engages a second fixed contact to energise the motor to drive the pump to pressurise the tank. The leak valves are closed and the increase of pressure raises the motorcycle body until a predetermined level is reached when pressure responsive change-over switches are operated to close the valves and stop the motor.
