The helical conveyor centrifuge is provided for the wet-mechanical separation of solids mixtures and has a rotor (10), which can rotate about a horizontal axis (24) and is composed of a cylindrical drum (12) and of two conical drums (14, 16). The helical conveyor centrifuge also comprises a screw conveyor (26), which is mounted inside said rotor, rotates about the same axis (24), and has two contra-rotating screws (30, 32). The inventive centrifuge additionally comprises means for axially feeding the solids mixture into the centrifuge and has discharge openings (42, 44), which are situated near the ends of the conical drum walls while being provided for discharging floating material and settled material. A radially inward projecting barrier device (48) for creating a different liquid level (50, 52) for the floating material and the settled material is mounted on the rotor (10).

L'invention concerne une centrifugeuse à vis sans fin servant à la séparation mécanique par voie humide de mélanges solides et présentant un rotor (10) composé d'un tambour cylindrique (12) et de deux tambours coniques (14, 16), qui peut tourner autour d'un axe horizontal, ainsi qu'une hélice transporteuse (26) montée dans ledit rotor et tournant autour du même axe (24). Ladite hélice transporteuse présente deux vis sans fin (30, 32) tournant en sens contraire, des moyens pour permettre l'alimentation axiale du mélange solide dans la centrifugeuse et des ouvertures de décharge (42, 44) aménagées dans la zone des extrémités des parois coniques des tambours, pour les matières flottantes et les matières sédiments. Un dispositif de retenue (48) en saillie vers l'intérieur dans le sens radial est disposé sur le rotor (10) et sert à produire un niveau de liquide (50, 52) différent pour les matières flottantes et les matières sédimentées.
