ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Mandibular implant of ceramic material with a bottom portion for anchoring in the mandible and having a substantially conical helix shape. An upper portion has a concave section for receiving an epithelial sleeve, as well as an opening to accept a denture support. At least one annular expansion and at least two adjacent annular notches are provided between the upper portion and the bottom portion. The annular expansion has a diameter which is shorter than the diameter of the crest of the thread at the upper- most turn on the bottom portion of the implant. -10-
