IMPROVED HELICOPTER BLADE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosure teaches a novel cambered helicopter blade which includes a leading edge, a trailing edge and a tip portion. A root portion is adapted to be connected to the helicopter hub for rotation therewith, and an airfoil shaped central portion extends between the root and tip portions. The tip portion is both swept and tapered, and the blade is fabricated to have substantially -10° linear twist from approximately 30 percent span station outwardly and reversing to nonlinear positive twist inwardly thereof. The tip portion leading edge is swept approximately 35° rearwardly of the central portion leading edge and is tapered so that the tip portion trailing edge is swept 10° with respect to the central portion trailing edge.
