A collapsible helicopter toy with movable rotors and rigid support frame is provided, including two skids, two vertical arches formed of two rod portions each couplable to the skids, a support cross bar spanning said inter-arch length having a secured rotor spinner couplable to a removable rotor blade, coupling portions at each end suitable to secure the arched rod portions, a tensioned pull cord wrapped around the rotor spool and extending out of the a portion of the support bar and down to a maximum extended pull length, a removable rotor blade couplable to the rotor spinner, front and rear faceplates, each extended from an arch by folding arms, a non-stretchable fabric secured outside said frame forming a helicopter shape. When the pull cord is pulled down to operate the toy, the rotor blade spins in response, and pull cord is restored to a resting position. The maximum pull length is sufficiently short to be safe for child use. In a storage position, the frame is removable from the skids and collapses to a thin form factor for easy storage.
