HELMET HAVING A WITHDRAWABLE SHIELD A B S T R A C T In this helmet, the shield has a lower notch adapted to rest on the nose of the user and is connected by an elastically yieldable connection to a support which is pivotally mounted on the outer shell of the helmet. This connection biases the shield inwardly of the helmet. The shield in this way adapts itself to the morphology of the user. Application in ski crash-helmets.
