The invention provides a helper strap that can be used by individuals having limited or no use of one or both legs, enabling such individual to easily move or reposition a leg without having to lean over to grasp the leg. The strap has a lower adjustable loop portion that can be slipped onto a foot, shoe or ankle, all adjustable upper loop portion that can be attached to the individual's belt, belt loop, clothing or wheelchair, and a plurality of intermediate loops, any one of which can be grasped so that a lifting force can be applied thereto. The lifting force applied to the intermediate loop is transferred to the individual's foot so that the foot and leg will be lifted for appropriate repositioning thereof . The strap is inexpensive strong, easily used and easily cleaned.
