A hemostatic patch that is advantageously safe and inexpensive is created that comprises a biodegradable matrix such as an absorbable gelating sponge, and an effective amount of epsilon aminocaproic acid for inhibiting fibrinolysis. Epsilon aminocaproic acid is a hemostatic agent that inhibits fibrinolysis, accelerates the activity of thrombin and possesses antibacterial properties. A patch containing EACA and calcium chloride is effective for decreasing bleeding of parenchymal organs, as well as for topical use particularly in a bandage form. The patch further can contain thrombin, RGD and protamine sulfate.
Tampon hémostatique sûr et économique formé d'une matrice biodégradable du genre éponge de gélatine résorbable et d'une quantité efficace d'acide epsilon amicaproïque, lequel est un hémostatique inhibant la fibrinolyse, accélérant l'activité de la thrombine et possédant des propriétés antibactériennes. Tampon comportant ledit acide et du chlorure de calcium réduisant le saignement des organes du parenchyme et pouvant s'appliquer localement notamment sous forme de bandage et pouvant en outre contenir de la thrombine, du RGD et du sulfate de protamine.
