Hepatospecific Insulin Analogues Abstract New insulin analogues have now been synthesized and found to be hepatospecific. These insulin analogues contain substitutions for one or more amino acids in the A and B chains. Specifically, tryptophan or other bulky, hydrophobic residues are substituted at the A13, A14, A15, A19 and B16 positions of the insulin polypeptide to produce the hepatospecific insulin analogues of the claimed invention.
