HERBICIDAL 2-HALOACETANILIDES Abstract of the Disclosure The disclosure herein relates to a group of N- alkyl-2-haloacetanilide compounds, herbicidal compositions containing said compounds as the active ingredient and herbicidal method of use in various crops, particularly, soybeans, cotton, peanuts, rape, bush beans, etc. The herbicides herein are particularly effective against the hard-to-kill annual weeds Texas panicum, itchgrass, wild proso millet, alexandergrass, red rice, shattercane and seedling johnsongrass.
