A selective herbicidal composition for controlling grasses and weeds in crops of cultivated plants, comprising a) a herbicidally effective amount of a herbicide of formula I (see formula I) and b) to antagonise the herbicide, an antidotally effective amount of a safener of formula IIa (see formula IIa) or of formula IIb (see formula IIb) or of formula IIc (see formula IIc) or of formula IId (see formula IId) or of formula IIf (see formula IIf) or of formula IIg (see formula IIg) or of formula IIh (see formula IIh) or of formula IIj (see formula IIj) or of formula IIk (see formula IIk) wherein the substituents are as defined in claim 1.
