ABSTRACT A herbicidal composition is disclosed which may be used for chemi- cally hoeing fields and cultivated land. The composition contains at least one metal or ammonium salt of persulphuric acid as an active sub- stance in association with at least one surface-active agent which is compat- ible with the active substance. The composition is useful for chemically hoeing cultivated land which is laid out in lines, such as orchards, vine- yards, nurseries, garden plots and ornamental gardens.
