ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A composition for the control of wild oats and broadleaf weeds or undesirable grass plants, comprising a 1,2-dialkyl-3,5-diphenylpyrazol- ium wild oat herbicide of formula I (I) Image wherein R1 is methyl; R2 is alkyl C1-C4; Y,Y', Z and Z' each independently represent halogen, hydrogen, methyl or methoxy; X is an anion having a charge of 1 to 3; and m is 1, 2 or 3; with the proviso that only one phenyl ring is substituted on the carbon para to the pyrazolium ring with a substituent other than hydrogen, in combination with a broadleaf weed or grass herbicide se- lected from the group consisting of a phenylcarbamate, substituted urea, sub- stituted hydroxybenzonitrile, substituted symmetrical triazine, dinitrophenyl and salts thereof and 5-amino-4-chloro-2-phenyl-3(2H) pyridazinone.
