ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A herbicidal composition for ?-?-comprising a compound of the general formula Image (I) wherein R represents -OCH3 or Image , and X represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen-atom, and a compound of the general formula Image (II) wherein R1 represents a l? alkyl group, as active ingredients. The composition exhibits a high herbicidal effect without exceding phytotexisity to rice-plants when applied at any desired time from the early stage of germination of seeds to their growth stage. The composition is especially effective often containing 0.15 to 3 parts by weight of the ? (II) per part of the compound (I).
