ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel herbicidal compounds of the formula Image wherein R1 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; one of R' or R'' is alkyl having 1 through 6 carbon atoms or alkenyl having 2 through 6 carbon atoms and the other is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 through 6 carbon atoms; R''' is alkyl having 1 through 6 carbon atoms or alkenyl having 2 through 6 carbon atoms; R3 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 through 4 carbon atoms; and X is halogen, have surprisingly superior pre-emergence activity against grasses.
