ABSTRACT 'THE HERBICIDAL USE OF TRIMETHYLAMINE AND TRIETHYLAMINE SALTS OF 3,5-DIBROMO- 4-HYDROXYBENZONITRILE" The use of the trimethylamine and triethylamine salts of 3,5-dibromo-4-hydroxy- benzonitrile to control selectively the growth of broad-leafed weeds by post-emergence application in maize and sorghum crops, herbicidal compositions containing these salts and, optionally, other herbicides and a process for the preparation of these salts are described. The triethylamine salt of 3,5- dibromo-4-hydroxybenzonitrile is a new compound.
