The invention relates to a human GHRH-binding protein (human Growth Hormone-releasing hormone). Said protein, which is obtained from the Pilocarpus Heterophyllus plant, can be used to prepare medicaments intended to antagonise the effects of GHRH and to treat proliferative diseases (particularly cancer), acromegaly or diabetic nephropathies and retinopathies.

L'invention concerne une protéine qui fixe le GHRH humain (human Growth Hormone releasing hormone ou hormone libératrice d'hormone de croissance humaine). Cette protéine, obtenue à partir de la plante Pilocarpus Heterophyllus, peut être utilisée pour préparer des médicaments destinés à antagoniser les effets de GHRH, à traiter les maladies prolifératives (et notamment le cancer), à traiter l'acromégalie ou à traiter les rétinopathies et les néphropathies diabétiques.
