Selected heterocyclecarbonyl amino acid hydroxyethylamino sulfonamide compounds of formula (I) are effective as retroviral protease inhibitors, and in particular as inhibitor of HIV protease. The present invention relates to such retroviral protease inhibitors and, more particularly, relates to selected novel compounds, composition and method for inhibiting retroviral proteases, such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) protease, prophylactically preventing retroviral infection or the spread of a retrovirus, and the treatment of a retroviral infection.
L'invention porte sur des composés hétérocyclocarbonyl aminoacide hydroxyéthylamino sulfonamide sélectionnés de formule (I) s'avérant efficaces comme inhibiteurs de protéases de rétrovirus et notamment de la protéase du VIH, et plus particulièrement sur de nouveaux composés sélectionnés, de nouvelles compositions et de nouveaux procédés d'inhibition de protéases de rétrovirus telle que la protéase du VIH, de prévention prophylactique et de traitement d'infections rétrovirales, et de prévention de la propagation d'un rétrovirus.
