- 1 - Abstract The invention concerns a novel process for preparing hexahydroazepine, piperidine and pyrrolidine derivatives of formula Image where n is 2,3 or 4, R3 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, aryl- (lower)alkyl, lower alkenyl or lower alkynyl, R7 is lower alkyl and R8 is hydrogen or lower alkyl from the compounds of formula Image where n and R3 are as above and R2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or aryl(lower)alkyl. The products have pharma- cological activity, particularly analgesic activity.
