A method and coating used to prepare a photochromically-enabled bifocal ophthalmic lens. The coating is a high adhesive strength acrylate-based coating that contains a small quantity of a polycarbonate-based TPU. The coating is applied to produce an intermediate imbibable bifocal surface. A photochromic solution is subsequently imbibed by contact with the bifocal surface.
L'invention concerne un procédé de revêtement utilisé pour préparer des lentilles ophtalmiques bifocales de manière photochromique. Ce revêtement est un revêtement à base d'acrylate à haute adhérence qui contient une petite quantité d'un TPU à base de polycarbonate. Ce revêtement est appliqué afin de produire une surface bifocale imbibable intermédiaire. Une solution photochromique est ensuite imbibée par contact avec la surface bifocale.
