ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pressure-sensitive adhesive having improved shear strength obtained by virtue of the formation of the enamine of a pendant acetoacetate is described. These materials contain acetoacetate functional monomer in a low Tg emulsion polymer. Shear strength is improved without compromise of either peel strength or tack.
